SPARKS Cooking Equipment Maintenance
Scheduled inspection, cleaning, testing, and adjustments for commercial cooking equipment, organized around the needs of the kitchen.
Scheduled Cooking Equipment Maintenance Built Around Your Kitchen
SPARKS is SSI Services’ scheduled maintenance program for commercial cooking equipment. The service plan is organized around the equipment, workload, and priorities of the kitchen instead of relying on a single checklist for every operation.
The plan begins with a participating-equipment list and an agreed service scope that can reflect different cooking lines, equipment types, operating schedules, and access needs. Each visit gives the kitchen team a structured opportunity to review equipment condition and document items that may need attention.
Cooking Equipment Covered
- Commercial fryers
- Commercial ovens and combi equipment
- Griddles, charbroilers, and grills
- Steamers and selected hot-side equipment
- Holding and other participating cooking equipment
What a Scheduled Visit May Include
- Visual equipment and component review
- Cleaning of serviceable areas included in the plan
- Temperature and control checks
- Gas-pressure, ignition, electrical, or safety-control checks where applicable
- Drain, filtration, or oil-return review on equipped fryers when included in the plan
- Adjustments and operating checks within the agreed scope
- Documentation of findings and recommended next steps
How the Plan Is Organized
The equipment list, visit frequency, serviceable areas, scheduling window, and location access details are documented as part of the service arrangement. When participating equipment changes, the scope can be reviewed so future visits remain tied to the current kitchen configuration.
Scheduling and Service Findings
Visit frequency can be organized around equipment use, kitchen demand, and the service agreement. Findings are recorded by equipment so operators can decide what should be repaired, monitored, or considered during future equipment planning.
SPARKS does not replace the manufacturer’s required daily cleaning, operating procedures, or staff responsibilities. The scheduled work remains limited to the participating equipment and the scope established for the location.
Discuss a SPARKS Maintenance Plan
Tell us which cooking equipment you operate, how the kitchen is used, and what service schedule you are considering. Our team can use that information to discuss an appropriate scope.
