HVAC- Stands for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning. Its overall purpose is to keep both customers and staff comfortable in your facility. It’s more than just blowing cold air, which most people assume. It also plays a crucial role in managing humidity, which plays a more prominent factor in overall comfort than most people realize.

Exhaust Systems and Make-up Air- Exhaust systems depressurize your business, especially in the kitchen. These systems exhaust air from cooking areas, reducing heat and controlling grease, while make-up air infiltrates through building shell leaks and intentional, passive vents. These can create what is called positive or negative pressure in a building. You always want a slight positive pressure, so when a door/window is opened, it will not suck in the humid air from outside.

Boilers- Boilers heat water or produce steam, which can then be used to provide space heating and/or service water heating to a building. In most commercial building heating applications, the heating source in the boiler is a natural gas-fired burner.

Chiller Systems- Water chiller systems are popular for huge commercial and industrial applications. Hospitals and hotels are the main areas where we service these types of systems. There are three main areas a technician needs to be proficient in to diagnose and service a chiller system properly. The process water side, the refrigerant gas side, and the program control system. The latter area is usually the biggest hurdle for most companies because controls can be very intricate. Our technicians will comprehensively educate and communicate with customers so they better understand their chiller systems. There are complex cooling towers that are associated with chiller systems as well.  

Duct System- The duct system is the collection of tubes responsible for distributing the conditioned air to your home or office. It is vital to correctly and efficiently cool or heat your establishment. The air conditioning system works hard to create a comfortable atmosphere. Still, with poorly designed or old ductwork, you can lose a significant portion and not heat or cool your space correctly. Most people assume the AC system needs to be replaced but are pleasantly surprised when ducts can be replaced or repaired at a much lower cost.

Server Room Protection- Whether technology keeps our businesses up is not debatable. Most offices require a “server room”. These rooms usually contain more than just servers but routers, modems, etc. With all these components giving off heat, it requires a safe temperature not to cause any undue strain on the equipment. Offices must protect this equipment by having the proper temperature and humidity control design. Backup generators to power mini units are often a must for the summer months in Florida as power outages become pretty standard.
